In Memory

This information was provided by fellow classmate Tom Higgins:  Raymond died in June of 1996 from a stroke at the age of 44.  He is survived by his wife, daughter, sister and brothers.

"Raymond was brilliant and insightful. He invented a new type of high fidelity loudspeaker on which he was awarded a US Patent. He once patiently showed me how to play a scale on his viola. His engagements with our teachers on philosophical points was often the subject of derision and ridicule by fellow classmates. But that was because Raymond was so far out of our league that it was easier to dismiss him than to learn from him. Our mistake. . ."

I share Tom's memories of Raymond Yee's intellectual brilliance!  I also remember him as being on the shy side in high school, yet possessing a willingness to let his intelligence shine!  I am saddened to learn about his death especially at such a young age.  May his memory live on in these pages!
